The tutorial introduces, as it should, everything to do with the game. You are a guy in a casual and timeless outfit, armed with a crossbow and a sword. You ride along in a mine cart, rope swing, shoot targets, battle training dummies, scale walls...
All the while, you are headed towards a tower, where a girl in a beautiful dress calls to you to save her, and to hurry towards her. You tackle the last obstacle, climb the stairs of the tower, and see her holding a stopwatch commenting that you shouldn't drop your guard against the dummies or she'll program them to attack you.
Yup. I've had an idea kicking around in my head of a standard "save the girl" fantasy adventure where the girl is clearly more badass than you by a country mile, despite being the damsel in distress.
As she is a princess and is loving the role, she assigns her boyfriend (you) to be her knight in shining armour and save her should she ever get kidnapped. Except in training her boyfriend, she surpassed him eleven times over.
One day, she is captured by some nefarious gang with sinister intentions, building powerful machines that could topple the king's armies. When you break into her dungeon to save her, you witness a blazing trail of her own escape, with doors ripped off, guards knocked unconscious, and the entire enemy regiment following the trail.
Sadly, you must follow her, tackling all the other guards following her as well. This is where the action comes in.
But her blazing trail never really ends, as her path leads not away from, but further into the gang's hideout, specifically aiming for their evil machines. When you finally reach the machine, it's in action and your girlfriend is incapacitated, but she took down more of the final boss than you could ever hope to. The remaining 23% of health is something you have to deplete on your own.
And yes, it will be 23% of health. Whatever system is used to show health will show there to be a great deal more health than what you see at the start. She was the first person to tackle the final boss, and she just handed the fight over to you for the final phase.
I would play this game.
